Independent Member for Clark, Andrew Wilkie, asked Minister for Aged Care Anika Wells the following in Question Time. Please check against delivery. See above video for full question and response.
“Minister most recommendations of the Aged Care Royal Commission have not been implemented. Nor have the sector’s pleas for more funding been met.
“As a result many service providers can’t reliably provide high quality care, facilities are closing, and numerous providers are facing difficult choices about whether they even stay in business.
“Minister, beyond some extra nurses and a pay rise, when will all 148 Royal Commission recommendations be implemented?”
