Andrew asked the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations the following in Question Time.
“Minister, the Commonwealth Ombudsman found the mutual obligations system for those on Jobseeker and other payments was operating unlawfully, with grave consequences.
Tens of thousands of people had their payments wrongly cancelled, reduced or suspended. The Government subsequently paused sections of the system, but some this week have restarted.
So Minister, what has been done to fix the system, and do you have confidence that it is now being run lawfully?”
