“It was disappointing that the Attorney-General dodged my question on whether he would drop the charges against whistleblowers David McBride and Richard Boyle.
“Both McBride and Boyle have done the courageous thing and spoken up about misconduct and alleged crimes. They should be lauded as heroes, not villains.
“For all its talk, the Federal Government’s promise to protect whistleblowers is not being demonstrated in practice. In reality it’s all still about shutting down whistleblowers and deterring others from coming forward.”
